４月７日讯　没有宽松、开放、兼容的环境，不能培养出一流的艺术家。中国美术家协会副主席、四川美术学院院长罗中立如是说。

　　４月７日，在贵阳参加贵阳艺术双年展的著名画家罗中立、周春芽表示，现行的美术教育体制偏于保守，灌输式的教育也许会对一些有才华的艺术家造成限制。

　　周春芽说：“２００５年，陈丹青向清华大学提交辞呈，一度引发各界对于美术教育体制的诸多质疑。我觉得，陈丹青是对的，他很有勇气、很有理想。失去陈丹青，他本人没有任何损失，损失最大的是清华美术学院。”

　　上世纪８０年代初，四川美术学院曾名噪一时，程丛林的《１９６８年ｘ月ｘ日雪》、高小华的《为什么》、何多苓的《春风已经苏醒》以及罗中立的《父亲》等，在全国一炮打响。何多苓、罗中立、张晓刚、高小华、叶永青等这些当今中国美术界很有影响的人，都出自川美７７、７８级，数量之多，甚至被美术界称为“川美现象”。

　　周春芽认为，这批画家的成功与当时的氛围有关，“我们读书时，四川美院的环境开放宽松，在我的印象里，没有什么权威压制，创作上非常自由。１９８１年，罗中立的油画作品《父亲》获得全国第二届青年美展一等奖，时任美院院长的叶毓山专门设家宴祝贺，至今记忆犹新。”

　　１９９８年起担任四川美术学院院长的罗中立希望，能够按照自己当学生、老师时心目中理想的学校，作为建设四川美术学院的目标。

　　在罗中立的主持下，四川美院于２０００年斥资近千万元，购买了一个原属某军工厂的坦克仓库并加以改建。目前，“坦克仓库艺术中心”已成为国际知名的公共艺术机构。

　　罗中立说：“真正有艺术天分的学生一年出不了几个，他们有些人，可能因为外语不及格，或者文化课不及格、调皮捣蛋，留不下来，这让人非常痛心。坦克仓库就给他们提供了一个体制外的空间，学习、交流，避免一些优秀的艺术苗子过早被现实生活的压力给消解掉。”

　　罗中立认为，美院应该是一个很自由的地方，甚至允许学生乱叫、乱跳，“我们当年就是如此”。
