　　 胡安贝尔纳尔先生目前是哥伦比亚波哥大哈维里亚纳大学的设计师。这是他第一次在中国举办他的个人展览。这次展出的作品共计16组，作品主题是关于简单事物的重要性：如绿叶、花朵的芳香，经露珠折射后的光线等我们不以为然的自然元素和我们不会费心去观察的自然之美。在突出自然几何图形中重塑这些元素。简朴中透着繁复。作品也好像一座警钟，提醒着我们保护环境的重要性，我们是自然的一部分，然而我们却在无情地摧毁自然。”
　　本次展览是中国和哥伦比亚两个的一次文化交流活动，哥伦比亚大使、外交官、文化部部长将出席此次画展的开幕仪式。
　　JUAN BERNAL, the architect from Universidad Javeriana, Bogota, Colombia, for the first time holds his solo exhibition in China with 16 groups of paintings. The paintings are about the importance of simple things; elements of nature that we usually take for granted, and whose beauty we don’t take time to observe, like a fragment of a leaf, a flower, or the way light is reflected as it strikes a drop of dew. Those elements are recreated with emphasis in the geometry of nature’s designs. It is the complexity within the simplicity. The work constitutes an alarm to remind us to preserve the environment that we are part of and that we are relentlessly destroying. 
　　This is one of the cultural exchange activities between Columbia and China. The Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Minister of Culture and some other diplomats will present at the opening reception.
