　　当一群年轻的艺术家自觉聚集在一起，在深圳南山一座厂房办起艺术工作室，展现自己的艺术追求时，南方的深圳才有了她自己先锋艺术的基地，我们也由此可以把握南方艺术跳动的脉搏。

 

　　深圳的艺术生态总体而言并不乐观，毕竟这是一座年轻的城市，而且南方的审美趣味还是传统书画的，尽管南方也是开放的，富有活力的，这群多数还没有成名的艺术家很多都还处于努力探索自己风格的时期，因此，可以想见他们生存的压力。但是他们一直在坚持并不时创作出让人振奋的作品，这让我们欣慰，我认为，深圳创库在南方的存在本身，就是艺术探索的体现。

　　由此，深圳创库成立的举动在城市的发展上和区域性的文化意义上具有重要的开拓性价值。艺术家们的作品与举动也将在各自的进步上呈现出先锋文化价值、经济与收藏价值、美术史意义的历史价值。

　　当然，创库的一些艺术家已经有了自己的鲜明风格，并在艺术圈具有一定影响和知名度，比如，作为卡通一代艺术流派代表性艺术家的田流沙。被誉为以上帝的眼光看世界的艺术家周金华。邹卫的闺阁系列与小飞人系列，前者既转换了传统的审美，也保留了传统美感的色晕，而小飞人的生动形象，对我们这个时代的身体政治贡献了自己独特的思考，小飞人的政治讽喻对北方艺术已经产生了极大的冲击力。任晓斌油画作品《人鸟》系列结合鸟与人的形象，揭示了我们生命的本来原型，展现了我们生命力的图像。吴德生的油画作品《沙发上的小孩》系列让我们暗中颤栗：一个被离弃的小孩置于沙发上，他如此的孤立无助，而画面本身异常冷静客观，艺术家以惊人的克制展现了我们内在生命的处境：我们每一个人其实就是这个惊恐的小孩。莫峻峰的油画作品《春光乍泄》以其强烈的绘画性描绘了我们日常生活的平庸与无意义，而绘画本身对传统手法的内在回应要求我们更多的回到作品本身的阅读上......

　　创库的功能已不仅仅是画家们的创作室，也经常举行各种探索性和综合性的艺术活动，在不久的将来，随着这些艺术家的进一步成熟与影响的扩大，这个创库将成为南方艺术的“心脏”和风向标！创库主持人杜应红以其作为艺术家的敏感与热情，形成了大艺术的概念：创库不仅仅是绘画的空间，也是实验音乐演出，诗歌朗诵等等的集结地，创库的空间是开放的，随着与北方艺术的广泛交流，以及大量国内外其他艺术家的积极参与，创库的质量在逐步提高，其影响与意义将更加壮大。而且，因为她比邻香港十分钟的车距，让创库具有了向外扩散性影响的优势和可能。

　　不仅如此，创库还充分发挥其社会教育功能，开展一系列艺术普及与社会教育的工作，艺术家们不仅仅自己创作，也担负着艺术审美教化的使命，这是南方的特有文化环境所导致的，也是艺术家们社会责任感的自觉体现！

 

　　在这里，每个月一日都例行举办工作室开放活动或学术主题展览，如果将深圳当代艺术创作库比喻成南方当代艺术心脏的话：她的每一次跳动都是南方艺术活力的体现，因而她也召唤我们与之一道律动！

The host of Creation Base, Du Yinghong, has become the concept of great arts with his sensitivity and enthusiasm as an artist. Creation Base is not only a space for painting but also the place for music performance and poetry reading. The space of Creation Base is open. With more extensive exchange of art with Northern Arts and the active participation of a large number of artists at home and abroad, the quality of Creation Base is gradually improving and its impact and significance will become stronger. In addition, because she is very close to Hong Kong, only 10-minute distance by car, that allows Creation Base have more advantage and possibility of outwards diffusion.
